Description:

This five-day online course of Bosch Rexroth’s Visual Motion, version 11, software and the PPC hardware for Basic Program and Maintenance provides for familiarization of the PPC-R/P Hardware, single and multi-axes motion control, IndraLogic PLC, and Visual Motion Programming Software Interface. Basic SERCOS™ theory is also covered to explain the method of communication between the PPC-R/P controllers, Servo Drives, HMI systems, and SERCOS™ based IO.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

• Understand SERCOS™ Communications.
• Recognize all PPC-R Rack and PPC-P PCI-Bus Mounted Hardware.
• Understand the motion and logic capabilities of the Visual Motion system.
• Use Visual Motion 11 Programming Software Utility for ICON (Flow chart) as well as the five IEC61131-3 Languages for Motion & Logic
• How to configure the hardware of the system, i.e. control, IO, servo drives.
• Recognize and manipulate registers.
• Use the IndraLogic PLC for IO, logic and motion.
• Write and execute a single axis motion program using Visual Motion Icon Commands.
• Write and execute a single axis motion program using IndraLogic IEC 61131 editor.
• Write and execute an ELS axis motion program using Visual Motion Icon Commands
• Write and execute an ELS axis motion program using IndraLogic IEC 61131 editor.
• Program a single axis or ELS axis motion command using IndraLogic.
• Back-up and Restore a complete system to a blank or existing Flash memory card.

• If a student desires to use their own computer for the class, they must have a licensed copy of Bosch Rexroth’s Visual Motion software, version 11, installed on the computer. Bosch Rexroth can provide loaner laptop computers for students, if needed.
